In today's world almost every business has begun or is in the middle of incorporating social media to its business. Social Media can boost your business from the ground up. I can even attest to this fact since I have created my own business using the Instagram the social media platform. If it wasn't for the powers of social media and blogging I wouldn't be able to run my company. Social media blogging also allows you to advertise yourself/ your brand on the internet. However the Internet and social media can be used in a negative way as well. Ever walk into a restaurant and see two people sitting on there phones. Social Media can be very addicting. Social Media can also be used in negative ways with bulling cyber bullying is one of the nations top concerns for child safety. In Is my Space Good for Society? Freakonomics Quarom Stephen Dubner talks about his concerns with social media by stating all of his concerns with bullying, addiction, and even time consumption most individuals have with social media. In "Social Networking Technology Boosts Job recruitment" the article speaks about the app Linkden and how social media is used to even get you recruited for a job.

Privacy and Confidentiality are often confused. Privacy is:  is the ability of an individual or group to seclude themselves, or information about themselves, and thereby express themselves selectively. While confidentiality is:  the state of keeping or being kept secret or private. These days the word "privacy" with the internet triggers debate since Eric Snowden leaked reports. The internet alone and all of these social media platforms like facebook, instagram... have all of the information that you put out there even messages. We trust/hope that these platforms remain Confidential when dealing with our private information, but that goes to say that nothing on the internet is private even if a post was deleted it can always be retrieved.
